GulfGran is not a cement plant, a steel mill, or a freight forwarder. We organize the commercial path. The producers, carriers, terminals, and processors who perform the physical work remain the parties who perform it.
Current focus
Raw granulated blast furnace slag.
The material we are organized to supply is granulated blast furnace slag, or GBFS: the glassy, sand-like granule formed when molten blast-furnace slag is rapidly quenched with water. It is a raw bulk commodity. A qualified processor dries and grinds it into ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS), also called slag cement, for concrete and blended cement.

What we take on.

International sourcing
Identify bulk material from producing regions and ask for the origin, lot history, and documents a buyer will actually review.

Coordinate certificates of analysis, samples, and the buyer’s technical review before a shipment is treated as approved.

Logistics coordination
Arrange ocean, terminal, and inland steps with the carriers, agents, and receiving facilities nominated for that cargo.

Structure supply for U.S. processors and industrial buyers, with papers aligned to the receiving specification.
How we work.
Four steps, in this order. A cargo is not a slogan. It is a specification, a receiver, and a set of documents that agree with each other.

Origin is checked against the buyer’s technical needs. For blast-furnace slag, we ask for traceability back to ironmaking, not a trading name alone.
Qualify
Samples, certificates of analysis, and independent review follow the buyer’s protocol. The receiver decides what is approved.
Move
Vessel, terminal, and inland movement are coordinated with the parties who operate them. Timing and discharge are planned before loading.
Deliver
Material and papers are handed to the nominated receiver. Weight, moisture, and quality remedies follow the contract.
Why Houston.
Houston sits on the Houston Ship Channel, with deepwater bulk terminals, rail and highway connections, and a concentration of cement, concrete, and industrial processing along the Gulf Coast.
GulfGran is based here so import supply can be discussed with the facilities and buyers who receive bulk cargo in this region. Discharge berth, storage, and handling are arranged with the terminal and the receiver nominated for each shipment.
We do not own port terminals, warehouses, vessels, or grinding plants.

A shipment conversation starts with origin, chemistry, moisture, sizing, and handling. We assemble what the buyer asks to see, and we say when a result is supplier-reported, independent, or still outstanding.
Quality processA by-product, stated plainly.
Granulated blast furnace slag is produced alongside ironmaking. After a processor grinds it, slag cement can replace a portion of portland cement clinker in concrete. That is an industry characteristic of the finished material. It is not a carbon claim, a recycled-content percentage, or an environmental certification from GulfGran. We do not publish savings we have not measured, and we do not hold certifications we have not earned.
